Welcome to the tennis school "GLUMAC" 🥎
Before you decide to enroll your child who is a beginner or has already trained tennis somewhere, carefully read the following text 👇 When choosing any tennis school or coach, it is very important that you know who you trust your child with and what that school offers you. First of all you should answer the following questions and if you don't agree with our answers, you are definitely in the wrong place. After more than 30 years of experience working with children and adults, we want to help EVERYONE who is new to tennis, as well as children and parents who have had unpleasant experiences in other clubs.
Why do you want your child to train tennis?
✔ I want to give my child the opportunity to get to know more sports, and I really like tennis and I think it would be interesting for him to try it!
✘ I want my child to become a professional tennis player
✘ I see the potential in my child that I could use to get money. I invest my money so that it will return to me one day.
✘ I like tennis and I don't care what other sport he likes
Why does your child want to train tennis?
✔ Whatever the reason is, it is completely irrelevant. Whatever attracted him is fine.
Do you think your child needs to be talented at tennis to coach him or something else?
✔It is ABSOLUTELY irrelevant whether the child is talented in tennis or not. If he likes to learn and comes to training, DO NOT deny him that (this is related to any sport).
Can tennis be practiced in addition to other sports?
✔Of course, children can practice several sports at the same time
What qualities are important to you in a tennis coach?
✔ Individual approach to each child
✔ Absolute dedication to the work he does
✔ Experience in working with children of all ages
✔ License to work with children + ITA License (proof of passed licenses)
✔ In addition to coaching skills, it also inspires confidence
✔ To have an authority based on knowledge, expertise, morals and a complete set of personality because it leaves a positive impact on children.
✔ The attitude towards even the smallest children as towards a future person
Is a great former or current competitor a good trainer for you?
✔ The competitive abilities of the coach have nothing to do with the inability to transfer knowledge. Apart from tennis competition skills, all the qualities we have already mentioned are very important
Did you choose a tennis school or coach because of:
1) Good marketing?
Don't forget that good marketing is only the first step in a series of steps that should make you choose a tennis school or coach.
2) Your child enthusiastically brought you a flyer from school and at the promotion it was told how everyone will become Nole and champions?
Important information 👇
🟢 Our school promotes love for this sport, acquiring the skill of playing tennis through a large number of repetitions of correct movements (muscle memory) where the main goal is RECREATIONAL sports for life and the acquisition of healthy and useful habits.
🟢 We develop a competitive spirit through the EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN AND PARENTS program related to competitive tennis, respect for oneself and opponents, and setting goals.
🟢 Likewise, through our program, children get the opportunity to study abroad through scholarships.
🟢 Have you thought that your child has a "craft" in his hands tomorrow. If he loves this sport, he can become a tennis coach in the future if he wants to. That's why working properly with children and choosing a quality coach is IMPORTANT.
Today, some of our students are coaches or have graduated from university through tennis.
3) Proximity to tennis courts, because it's easier for you because of your organization?
Think carefully about whether proximity to the court is key to your decision as to where your child will practice tennis.
4) Anyone's recommendation?
This is one of the best ways to find a good tennis school
From what age can a child start training?
✔ A child can start training from the age of 3 or 4, if communication with the trainer is established. Otherwise, it is too early to enroll your child. We have examples of children who, from the age of 3, through our special program for beginners - Toddy Tennis, are progressing very nicely.
OUR TENNIS SCHOOL:
🔴 NOT A GAMING ROOM !!! In the event that your child only plays in training and "thrashes" with the racket (regardless of age), my advice is not to waste money, but to take the child to the playroom to play with other children.
🔴 THERE ARE NO TRAINERS WHO ARE JUST ANIMATORS. In the event that the coaches have a great relationship with the children, and the lessons do NOT work on the aforementioned tennis skills. My advice is again to enroll your child in a play school.
Our approach is based on the progressive acquisition of basic tennis skills and knowledge through play and animation.
Our program:
- Dynamic work program
– Quick learning technique
- Development of motor skills
- Game and fun in the group
– Learning with the help of the latest props
Benefits of the program:
- Proper growth and development
– Useful habits
- Knowledge and skills
– Good work skills
- Socializing, fun and a healthy lifestyle
In case your child is a competitor and you want to train in our club:
✔ EVERY CHILD, regardless of the level of competitive tennis, hitting technique, tactical knowledge, as well as physical and mental current state, can train with us to improve all of the above.
✔ EVERY CHILD is welcome and will be given the chance to try to improve all of the above.
✘ PARENTS of CHILDREN who think they know better than the coach should not bring their children to our club
✘ PARENTS who yell and bully their children, because they did not meet their expectations in tournaments, sparring or training, SHOULD NOT bring their child to our club, UNLESS they decide to leave the child to the coach to do his job.
✘PARENTS WITH UNREAL AMBITIONS
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Why is my child making slower progress than other children?
Each child is an individual for himself with certain abilities that are born (hereditary) or acquired over time. As in school, learning is easier for some, harder for others. But in the end, most of them reach their goal - finished primary, secondary ... school. It's just a matter of commitment. In the case of sports, especially individual sports like tennis, progress depends on many factors. In a group of children who are worked with in the same way, with the same exercises (motor, technical...), some progress faster than other children. At the same time, we are not talking about coaches who are exclusively dedicated to children who are better (which is wrong). The good news is that eventually everyone masters the technique and learns to play and enjoy tennis. This process can take years, but nothing is terrible if the child loves tennis and is in the hands of the right coach.
IMPORTANT Do not make WRONG conclusions about your child's progress if:
- the child trains in a "worse" group in your opinion. That's why groups are also a division according to levels of knowledge, and it is wrong to think that a child will progress faster if he plays only with the better ones.
- the child comes to training for a long time and cannot hit the ball with the racket and cannot judge the bounce of the ball... The child is CURRENTLY at that level and with a good coach and proper motivation progress is SURE
– the child lost in a tournament to someone who you think is worse than him, which means he is not for this sport. COMPLETELY WRONG!!! The coach should talk to the child and analyze his game, behavior...Mutual trust is necessary
Is a larger group of children a brake on a child's progress?
In case you have a good coach, as well as a good training organization, the number of children is not a problem.
Do not let the price of the tennis school, private lessons and the number of children in the group be your main parameter. Your decisions related to the tennis school and coaches from all of the above.
The difference between individual and group lessons?
Children should combine group and private lessons if they are able.
Is it right to enroll children in tennis just to get them out of the "street and games"?
ABSOLUTELY! Children need activities to distract them, and sports are one of the better ways.
In case your child is already training somewhere, can you answer the following questions:
✔Do you know what education your child's coach has and what licenses he/she has to perform that job?
✔Did you receive a video recording of the kicking technique, with instructions from the coach regarding correction?
✔Does your child tell you what was done at training?
✔Is there a training plan?
✔Do your child's strokes and movements resemble the strokes and movements of tennis players you watch on television?
✔Is the training reduced to throwing balls out of the basket without specific instructions with constant praise "well done"?
✔Is the trainer active or does he spend most of the training on his mobile phone?
✔Has your child given up training or is he about to give up, and do you know why?
✔Can your child, after a few years of training, pass the ball 5 times on mini tennis without making a mistake?
✔Is it enough that your child likes the coach in order to train tennis?
